Marty Jones — a KRZA Community Radio DJ — might be, per Last Week Tonight’s host John Oliver, “public radio’s new mascot, given that he has the quintessential public radio voice, beard, and general vibe.” 

And we agree! Just like every public radio DJ, he provides a vital public service to the community he represents. And, without folks like Marty, our country’s public radio stations - which broadcast free programming, news, and critical information about the whole fascinating range of human activity happening both in their backyards and around the world — wouldn’t be the public good they are today.
